Standing up for the equal right to choose who we love

That's what I wish the photographer yelled at me.
It was absolutely none of my business. But I asked anyway.
Leigh-Anne and Susan Noonan were explaining how they met and fell in love.
The spark they felt was a massive surprise to both of them. Neither had been in a same-sex relationship before.
And you know what I asked next?
I asked this normal, down-to-earth couple what the sex was like. Yep, really.
Luckily the Noonans are lovely. And patient.
"It was never awkward - different but not awkward," Susan replied.
She should have told me to jam it.
Whatever the Noonans do between the covers is their business.
It has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else.
Same goes for their relationship.
Susan and Leigh-Anne married at Niagara Falls, Canada last December.
Their daughter Ruby, 2, was at their wedding.
They couple would love to make their union official in Australia. And they should be able to.
"What affect does our marriage have on anyone in the world but us?" Susan asked.
She's dead right.
