THREE days and 1200 roadside breath tests later and it seems Miriam Vale drivers are still not getting the message.

"Nobody is learning about speeding, seeing the amounts of tickets issued," Miriam Vale police Acting Sergeant Wayne Butler said.

As part of operation Gabiru 233 people were nabbed for speeding, with police performing 1200 RBTs over the past three days.

Police also intercepted 100 heavy vehicles, seized drugs and caught three people for driving under the influence of drugs. Five people were also issued notices to appear in court for drug possession, owning a speed detecting device and drink-driving.

The operation was conducted around Miriam Vale and the Bruce Hwy.
