A QUEENSLAND politician has flagged concern that documents were taken from his desk in the Parliamentary Chamber.

Katter's Australian Party MP Rob Katter said the document disappeared when a division was called and LNP members grouped on his side of chamber .

To stand against the LNP, Mr Katter had to walk to the other side of the chamber.

Mr Katter said he had taken the issue Speaker Fiona Simpson and requested it be referred to the Parliamentary Ethics Committee.

"It reflects very poorly on all parliamentarians that documents would go missing from the chamber," he said.

A spokeswoman from the Office of the Speaker said a course of action would be considered after receiving a written complaint from Mr Katter.
