JORDAN Williams one day dreams of making his mark on big business in America.

The 17-year-old has just accepted his first job and has set his sights on some big career goals.

For the past three weeks Mr Williams has been employed as an administration officer with Toowoomba Regional Enterprise.

"I thought the role would be a good starting block for my career," Mr Williams said.

"I applied for the role through Classic Recruitment and was over the moon when I was told I had been successful," he said.

An avid basketball player, Mr Williams said the role was extremely flexible which was definitely one of the benefits amongst others.

"I like the flexible working hours. As long as I have completed all my work there is not really any set working hours," Mr Williams said.

"That is great for me because it allows me to pursue my sporting interests outside of work," he said.

Currently on a GAP year, Mr Williams plans to attend university next year.

"I will certainly go to university next year but at this stage I am unsure what degree I would like to undertake," Mr Williams said.

However, Mr Williams is sure that one day he would like to work overseas.

"My dream is to work overseas in America and become involved in big business or professional sports," Mr Williams said.
