15 men involved in Gladstone street brawl

UPDATE:

FIFTEEN people were involved in the brawl on the road outside The Boardroom Bar in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police have confirmed two men were taken to hospital.

One of those was transferred to Brisbane for treatment with suspected fractures to his chin, the left side of his jaw and his nose.

EARLIER:

SAMPLES are being taken by police from blood stains on the road at Central Lane following a large "brawl" last night.

The fight broke out around 1.45am Sunday outside The Boardroom Bar (PCs).

Five man have been charged following the incident and we understand one man, who suffered head injuries, was taken to Gladstone Hospital.

However the charges relate to fighting as a complaint of assault is yet to be made to the police.

The five men charged were a 41-year-old Burua man, a 25-year-old West Gladstone man, a 30-year-old Sun Valley man, a 19-year-old Kin Kora man and a 24-year-old Minyama man were all charged.

They will appear in Gladstone Magistrates court on March 22.

Investigations are continuing.
