Revving up for Run
PETROLHEADS get your fix this weekend when the Reef City Rod and Custom Club holds its annual Run in the Sun.
At the Calliope Historical Village, club members and car enthusiasts camp for the weekend.
On Saturday from 1-5pm they invite spectators to go along and view the gleaming examples of cars from yesteryear.
Club secretary Donna Radford said the historical village was an ideal venue. "The old cars go well alongside the old building," she said.
"The public love to see the cars - they come out and spend hours poring over them."
She said it was a great social occasion and a good opportunity for people with similar interests. Some also go on a harbour cruise while others play a game of lawn bowls.
