Report on handling of dam during cyclone postponed

THE release of a report from the independent review into the flooding of the Callide Creek during Cyclone Marcia has been rescheduled to June 5.

The review was due to be released on Friday but the Inspector-General has had to extend the release date to give full consideration to all of the evidence collected.

Many residents of the Callide Valley have been waiting for the review to see how the operation of the Callide Dam affected flooding.

Residents around Biloela believe the operation of the dam added to flood levels that impacted properties.
