RUGBY league gun Jack Heard was slipping and sliding at Briffney Creek on Saturday.

The teenager had just played a game of footy on a muddy field.

But the rains disrupted a lot more than a bit of footy.

They put a stop to several events across the region.

The Tannum Sands Family Fun Day was cancelled on Sunday due to the wet weather.

The Annual Healthy Life-style Expo at Seventeen Seventy also got the can.

Good news: the forecast is predicting mostly fine weather today.

Temperatures are expected to reach 22 degrees.

But keep that brolly nearby - there is still a 70% chance of rain.
