HIS missus had just broken the news that she'd cheated.
So Joshua Brian Robert Toms, 29, got into his Mitsubishi Trident and rammed her parked car around 2.45am on March 3.
Toms then left the Stuart St, Monto address. Police found him parked on the side of Golf Links Dr, asleep and inebriated.
Roused from his snooze, the father of three young children blew 0.187% when breath tested.
Police prosecutor Mick O'Rourke said witnesses reported that Toms had snapped. He added that it appeared the truck driver had impulse issues.
Tom's lawyer Brad Krebs said his client's relationship with his defacto wife had "come to a head".
Mr Krebs added that Toms was in an "upset state of mind".
He has since apologised to her and the pair is working towards reconciliation.
Toms was put on 12-months' probation. He was dealt with today in the Gladstone Magistrates Court.
