Drugs, guns and explosives seized in third raid in two days

DRUGS, explosives and ammunition have been seized from a West Gladstone property, as Gladstone Police ramp up efforts in Operation Immerse.

The Mylne St property is the third home to be raided in two days, after police discovered suspected drug labs at both Darymple Dr and Carter St properties in Toolooa on Thursday.

Seven marijuana plants, 12 lysergide or LSD tablets, hydroponic equipment and a small quantity of steroids were uncovered at the address.

Police swooped on the West Gladstone property at 8.30am on Friday, where a 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old female were arrested.

The pair was later charged with the production and possession of a dangerous drug and possession of utensils.

Both were released on their own undertaking and are expected to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court at a later date.

It comes as Gladstone man Jason Roberts, 38, was remanded in custody in relation to the discovery of a suspected drug lab at Darymple Dr, Toolooa, on Thursday night.

Mr Roberts was charged with the production and possession of a dangerous drug after fronting court on Friday morning.

Mitchell Mason, 40 and Kristy Lewis, 30, were released on bail with all three suspects expected to appear in court at a later date.

Late Thursday an Illicit Drug Squad from Brisbane seized a condenser and 60 pieces of equipment from both the Toolooa properties.

A small quantity of methamphetamine was also discovered at the Carter St house.

Police said the suspected drug labs were not connected and did not have links to bikie gangs.
