O'Dowd believes next Capricornia MP will face challenge

FEDERAL member for Flynn Ken O'Dowd has commented on Member for Capricornia Kirsten Livermore not recontesting the next election.

"Following the announcement that the Member for Capricornia will not be recontesting the next election I would like to wish her all the best in her life after politics," he said.

"I am sure she will enjoy and value extra time spent with her young family when not having to keep to the gruelling schedule that Federal Politics demands.

"The next election will most certainly be an interesting contest in Capricornia as whoever stands in the current members place will no doubt face a significant challenge in defending the failures of the current Labor Government."
