THE 28-year-old man alleged to have been behind a road rampage on Thursday night which left three police vehicles damaged was remanded in custody after having his matters adjourned in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Saturday.
In a series of incidents which began at about 8.30pm, a number of police cars were rammed and a bomb threat allegedly made on Queensland Alumina Limited land, before a brief police chase led to the man being arrested and taken to the watch house.
Police objected to the accused being granted bail, deeming him an unacceptable risk to the community.
The accused opted not to make any application for bail, and was remanded in custody to reappear in Gladstone Magistrates Court next month.
The man is facing 10 charges including evading police, wilful damage to police vehicles, driving under the influence and bomb hoax.
