Lorna Jane on the way in boost for Gladstone shopping

A Lorna Jane store will open in Gladstone in September.
A Lorna Jane store will open in Gladstone in September.

GLADSTONE shoppers will get their wish for more retail options with the news a Lorna Jane store is set to open in Stockland shopping centre.

The store will open towards the end of September and will be located next to Strandbags, where Kin Kora Meats was located.

Lorna Jane is an award-winning activewear label for women and has been in business for more than 20 years.

The news comes as a Buy Local project designed to lure locals to fashion stores in town has been announced.

In September, Buy Local will launch the Style Me Up project, which is loosely based on the UK TV show Trinny and Susannah.

The project involves fashion gurus teaching Gladstone women how to shop for their body shape.

Gladstone shoppers last week voiced their wish lists on Facebook for clothing stores they'd like to see in town.

Myer, Sportsgirl, Ed Harry, Valley Girl and YD were some of the most popular suggestions.
