IT WAS a night to remember for Joel Deinnen.

Watching the Butterfly Effect at the Harvey Road Tavern on April 26 was a dream come true for the cerebral palsy sufferer.

The chance to see one of his favourite bands perform live in Gladstone doesn't come around often - if it ever does.

Due to his condition, travelling to places such as Rockhampton for live music is difficult, his support worker Regina Jones said.

"It was nice being able to just go down the road," Regina said.

"We don't get a lot of bands here," she said.

Regina wants to encourage businesses to do more things like this in the city.
