LITTLE Ahavaeh is quite a way from being 'toilet trained', but she's had early practice, after deciding to make her entrance while mum Shayne Marks was parked up on the toilet.

Luckily, Ms Marks' partner Ryan van der Hulle was there to safely deliver their baby girl.

"I was in the shower when my waters broke; four minutes later while I was on the toilet, Ryan said he could see Ahavaeh's head," Ms Marks said.

"Ryan always wanted to have a hand in delivering her, but this time he didn't really have a choice," Ms Marks said.

"It took a while for it to sink in with him that he delivered a child. It's definitely a good story to tell."

Big brother Troyden, who did not have the best start to the year after suffering fourth-degree burns to his foot, is over the moon about at the thought of having a little sister.

"He just wants to help in whatever way he can," Ms Marks said. "All he wants to do is be with her, even if it's just lying down next to her and holding her hand."

While the couple family said they would consider having another child down the line, they are enjoying their new addition and do not plan to expand not planning on expanding their family any time soon. Ahavaeh was born at 5.08am on February 2, weighing just 2920g.
