BEING able to share a surname with her family meant the world to Jess Griinke.

On March 28, a family became united in every sense when she married the love of her life, Benjamin Kirk.

In a picturesque beachside setting, the couple of seven years made their commitment official, in front of 70 family and friends.

Most significantly, with their two daughters acting as flower girls, Bridie, 3, and Mya, 7 months.

"It was a beautiful day, everything ran smoothly and I couldn't have asked for anything more," she said.

"It is really special being able to have the same last name as Ben and my two girls. I'm still getting used to saying Kirk instead of Griinke."

The beachside ceremony was led by popular Gladstone celebrant Judy Whicker on the shore of Chinaman's Beach, Agnes Water.

A romantic reception followed underneath the marquee at Agnes Water Golf Club.

The beautiful bride said the highlight of her day was simply marrying the man of her dreams.

"Having two families join together as one was the focus of the day and it meant the world to me," she said.
