Infant airlifted from Curtis Island with burns

AN infant has been airlifted from Curtis Island after suffering burns to his face and hands when he fell against an oven door.

RACQ Capricorn Rescue transported the infant to Rockhampton Base Hospital in a stable condition on Monday afternoon.

The patient was holidaying with his family on the island, and suffered partial thickness burns to his face and hands.

The rescue helicopter also airlifted a motorcyclist injured while riding with friends in the Eurimbula National Park just after lunch on Monday.

The man fell from his bike at speed, sustaining suspected head, neck and spinal injuries

He was transported to Rockhampton in a stable condition.
