Port Access Rd gets $48.2m boost in federal budget

GLADSTONE Port Access Rd has been cited as a key infrastructure project in the federal budget, with $48.2 million listed in the 10-year forecast.

Flynn MP Ken O'Dowd's election promise to deliver $12.5 million towards a co-funded upgrade to the Kin Kora roundabout has also been included in the forecast, while half of the $6.7 billion allocated to fix the Bruce Hwy between Brisbane and Cairns has been pushed off the forward estimates.

Meanwhile, it is unclear where the Northern Oil Refinery stands, with no mention of cuts to the category one benefits the refinery has based its production on under the Product Stewardship for Oil scheme.
