Here's how to have your say on air quality

GLADSTONE residents concerned about air pollution are being encouraged to lodge submissions to the Federal Government.

Standards for ambient air quality are currently under review, as health risks arising from airborne pollution come to light.

The public are invited to complete an online questionnaire or to lodge an impact statement if they have been affected by air pollution.

The purpose of the paper is to decipher the need for legal benchmarks for industry and alike, to maintain safe levels of emissions.

Submissions close October 10 and responses will be made publicly available unless marked confidential.

The responses will be considered in the development of a final proposal to vary the Ambient Air Quality NEPM.
