Grass Fire at Glenlyon Rd
RURAL fire brigades remain at the scene of a grass fire on Glenlyon Road after it was extinguished earlier this afternoon.
A QFRS spokesperson said an urban fire-fighting crew along with two rural crews attended the fire around 2pm.
Due to the proximity of the fire to the railway line, a Queensland Rail representative was also present.
Fire fighters back burnt the area before the urban crew left the scene at around 3.50pm.
It is understood Mt Maurice and Calliope rural brigades have remained at the scene to continue to dampen the area.
