Gladstone police don't love the nightlife as arrests climb
GLADSTONE Police were kept busy over the weekend with more than 10 people out on the town charged for a range of offences, including public nuisance and assaulting police.
A 20-year-old man was arrested at the Reef Hotel at 3am on Saturday for being disorderly on a licensed premises.
At 2.49am on Saturday, a 19-year-old man was arrested for disobeying a move on direction outside Central Lane Hotel.
A 20-year-old man was arrested for being disorderly on a licensed premises at Rocky Glen Hotel at 2am on Saturday, while a 25-year-old man was arrested outside the Reef Hotel for public nuisance offences and threatening behaviour towards police, at 2am on Saturday.
Police arrested a 33-year-old man at 11.46pm on Friday on Walnut St, Gladstone for contravening a noise abatement direction.
On Central Lane at 12.10am Sunday, a 32-year-old male was arrested for public nuisance offences and threatening behaviour
A 25-year-old man was arrested at 1am Sunday on Goondoon St for public nuisance offences, and at 2.15am two 19-year-old males and a 22-year-old male were arrested on Yarroon St for assaulting police and resisting arrest.
A 56-year-old man on Goondoon St was issued a move on direction by police at 12.20am Sunday.
The man moved on but was located in the same place by police and arrested at 4.30am that morning.
At 4.30am Sunday a 27-year-old man was arrested for public nuisance offences and behaving in a disorderly manner in Goondoon St.
A 24-year-old male was charged with assaulting police at 4.54am Sunday for assaulting police in Yarroon St.
All will appear in court at a later date.
