UPDATE 12.14am

THE 12-year-old girl missing from Barney Point has been found. 

Melissa Ludwig thanked the community for their support in finding her daughter Saffron.

"We've got ourselves an amazing little community here," she wrote on Facebook.  

"Again, many thanks to all who went out of their way to help find her."

Police have confirmed Saffron is safe. 

 

EARLIER 7am:

A GLADSTONE mum is calling for help to find her missing 12-year-old daughter. 

Melissa Ludwig took to social media this morning after her daughter Saffron disappeared from Barney Point.

Saffron has since blocked her mother on Facebook. 

Police have confirmed the girl has been reported missing and investigations are underway. 

Ms Ludwig said if anyone sees Saffron, they shouldn't approach her, but call police instead. 

Saffron is described as 160cm tall, and was wearing black tights and a black jumper with pink and silver sparkles when she disappeared.
