WEZLEY Pitt has started his own love story with a daring marriage proposal at the Taylor Swift concert on Saturday night.

While American superstar Swift was up in front of 50,000 screaming fans singing Wezley's favourite song 'Love Story' he dropped to one knee and asked girlfriend Mellissa Watt to marry him.

It marked their third anniversary and the 25-year-old Yarwun worker had been waiting for the perfect moment since he first dreamt up the proposal during T Swizzle's last tour in 2013.

"We first met at a pool party and Taylor Swift was playing in the background," Wezley said.

"That's what got us talking in the first place. We bonded over that and it's just gone from there."

Even though Wezley had planned to pop the question, Mellissa was completely taken by surprise.

"She was wearing heels and we had walked from the train station so her feet were sore," Wezley said.

"So as I got down on one knee she started screaming and was like 'no, I'm not wearing any shoes'."

She said yes and as the two embraced they were surrounded by screaming, cheering fans including one girl who caught the moment on video.

"I was nervous," Wezley said.

"It was quite scary having to hide the ring trying to get it into the concert."

No date has been set for the wedding, but there's no doubt Taylor Swift will be playing at the reception which the pair will start planning in the New Year.
