Gladstone Airport stays open despite rainfall prediction

GLADSTONE Airport will remain open despite predictions of torrential rainfall this afternoon.

A QantasLink representative said flights between Gladstone and Brisbane were on schedule, with no delays or cancellations.

The information comes despite the Qantas website listing two flight cancellations and three delays.

Since 9am only two QantasLink flights have arrived in Brisbane from Gladstone.

The 6.45am QF2331 and 11.25am QF2301 were listed as cancelled flights on the website.

Flights QF2339, QF2343, QF2350 were listed as delayed.

Virgin Australia has listed the 10.55am VA1714 and the 8.50am VA1711 flights between Gladstone and Brisbane as cancelled on their website.
