THE latest retail outlet in Stockland Gladstone holds a remarkable story of growth and perseverance inside its doors.

LookSmart Alterations has opened for business, much to the delight of its husband and wife team, Mr and Mrs Sandford.

The story of Chantha Sandford is enough to inspire any young dreamer.

Mrs Sandford began an apprenticeship in a Cambodian factory in the 1970s.

Arriving in Australia as a 22-year-old refugee in 1976, Australia has delivered everything she had ever wanted.

And it is only getting better.

LookSmart Alterations takes pride in providing a level of quality that has gained the respect of customers, the fashion world and now Gladstone.

Mrs Sandford is now able to boast ownership of the entire franchise, which includes 100 stores across Australia, including in Cairns, Melbourne and Mackay.
