Fishmonger in dark on compensation
Gladstone Fish Market owner Ted Whittingham says he is unsure about where he and other commercial fishers stand with a process of compensation for potential loss of income from the LNG projects in Gladstone Harbour.
A Steering Committee was set up last year to negotiate compensation. it included the Gladstone Ports Corporation, Fisheries Queensland, commercial fishermen and an independent chair.
The Steering committee held several meetings last year, including its last meeting. Stakeholders are now waiting to see what comes of the process.
This video interview with Mr Whittingham was recorded on March 23.
