OUR strippers are safe.

The Port Curtis Hotel is just getting a facelift and the rumours the pub's adult entertainers were getting the boot are untrue.

The new owners took over yesterday. And they have big plans.

The downstairs area will be refurbished first.

It will become a sports bar with a pub grub-style menu.

The upstairs will undergo a complete makeover.

The goal is to make it more female-friendly.

The women's bathroom will be replaced - and that trademark sticky floor, too.

"It's going to be classy," part-owner David Rogers said.

"There seems to be a need for a bar that caters for both men and women."

The Port Curtis Hotel will continue to trade as normal despite the renovations.
