FINDING out how to fight cancer, reverse diabetes and promote healthy living are on the agenda for one Gladstone church.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church will have expert Dr Anthony Espinet, a senior chronic pain specialist, speak in a series of presentations this Saturday, followed by two sessions of cooking demonstrations with Pastor Ernest Wojnar's wife Irena, and their daughter who is a qualified cooking demonstrator.

Mrs Wojnar said vegetarian cooking was healthy and easy once you got into a routine.

"We've been vegetarians for 40 years and we're very healthy," she said.

"If you look at it as a lifestyle it works."
