Biloela Bluefins power up at home carnival

THE Biloela Swimming Club Open on November 16 and 17 attracted 200 swimmers and was a huge success.

Congratulations to all.

It was appreciated by our club and the 17 clubs that participated.

It was an awesome effort by our own 53 Biloela Bluefins who competed with sportsmanship and plenty of PBs and medals.

Our age champions were: age 8 girls runners-up was a tie between Brylea Griffiths and Jordan Fullgrabe; age 8 boys runner-up Tiger Irvine; age 10 girls age champion Taylor Heid; age 12 girls age champion Jemma Hancox; age 13 girls age champion Kala Rideout.

In their age group events, the following competitors placed first: Tully Austin for 25 butterfly; Taylor Heid, Jemma Hancox and Kala Rideout for 50 butterfly; Tiger Irvine, Taylor Heid and Kala Rideout for 50 breaststroke; Taylor Heid for 200 IM; Tully Austin for 25 backstroke; Cameron Radke and Taylor Heid for 50 backstroke; Brylea Griffiths, Tiger Irvine and Tully Austin for 25m freestyle; Tully Austin, Taylor Heid, Jemma Hancox and Kala Rideout for 50m freestyle. Kala Rideout and Taylor Heid for 100 freestyle.

Our second place recipients are: Luka Bahnisch for 25 butterfly; Jordan Fullgrabe, Jessica Elms and Breanna Heid for 50m butterfly; Riordan Byrne for 50 breaststroke; Mikeely Griffiths for 25 butterfly; Jordan Fullgrabe, Jemma Hancox and Kala Rideout for 200 IM; Mikeely Griffiths for 25 backstroke; Jordan Fullgrabe, Riordan Byrne, Kala Rideout and Cody Scherin for 50 backstroke; Mikeely Griffiths for 25 freestyle; Brylea Griffiths and Tiger Irvine for 50 freestyle; Jemma Hancox for 100 free.

Open placegetters were: 1st Kala Rideout for 25 Butterfly; 2nd Cameron Radke for 1500m freestyle and Kala Rideout for 25 freestyle; 3rd Jemma Hancox, Caleb Elms for 100 freestyle, Kala Rideout and Connor Williams for 100 free and Breanna Heid for 100 fly.
