BIOSECURITY Queensland is calling for equestrian events to have biosecurity plans in place after recent outbreaks of the deadly Hendra virus.
There have been a number of cases this year, including in Rockhampton.
Dr Rick Symons said event organisers need to keep detailed records of horses and the owners so they can be tracked easily should an outbreak occur.
