Why we love our mums: readers share special moments

Kristin Bridge My mum Judith is the strongest woman I know. We lost our dad in 2013 after a long illness and three weeks later she lost her own father at the age of 94. She has had to learn to adapt without Dad and to being on her own as all of us kids have left our home town. She travels many kilometres alone to see us all and her grandkids. She will do anything for anyone of us and always buts us before herself. She deserves all the happiness in this world. If I became half the women she is I would be happy. I love her to bits. This is her with myself and my daughter Sienna.

We invited readers to share with us why their mother (or grandmother) is so...
